We invite you to our table to enjoy some of Hawaiʻi’s most innovative, fresh and sustainable cuisine. From customizable menus to one-of-a-kind cocktails and beverage offerings, the Hawai’i Convention Center provides an unmatched culinary experience for our guests. 

The Hawai‘i Convention Center is committed to sourcing locally grown and produced food and beverage offerings. In spring 2025, nearly a third of the Center’s total food and beverage purchases were from Hawai‘i farms, fishers, ranchers and producers. In 2024, over a quarter of all food and beverage purchases were locally sourced.

By purchasing local ingredients, products, and other items, the Center supports Hawai‘i’s economy and reduces shipping and packaging needs – a win-win for its more than 25-year commitment to environmental sustainability.

“At the Hawai‘i Convention Center we take pride in food and beverage,” said Teri Orton, the Center’s General Manager. “We want to create an experience for our attendees that they will never forget, tying in our local flavors of Hawai‘i to showcase our local culture through food.”

In 2023 the Center welcomed Brooke Tadena as executive chef. Tadena has more than a decade of culinary leadership experience and works closely with local businesses to bring the freshest local flavors to every food and beverage offering.

With advance planning, the Center’s food and beverage team works with local farmers to grow crops for meetings and events.

“We provide for our guests with our local products, our local fisheries,” he said. “We drive the economy by using local vendors, whatever we can get fresh from the islands.”

Working with F&B

One of our experienced Catering Sales Managers will contact you up to nine months prior to your program to serve as your single point of contact, working with you and your budget to plan and service all of your food and beverage needs.

Once you’re on site, our Sales Manager will work directly with your Catering Service Manager to see that all the details are delivered as planned.

F&B Policies

  • The Center is the exclusive provider of in-house food and beverage services.
  • Contracts for each of your food and beverage events are due with full prepayment of your estimated charges 60 days prior to your event.
  • Food sampling restrictions may apply.

Please note that no samples of food product, beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or other consumables can be distributed without prior written permission from the Food & Beverage Director.

Sampling to the trade and the public may require completing and submitting an “Application for Food Establishment Permit” and/or an “Exhibition Booth Diagram” form. Consult your Event Planner’s Handbook for samples of both forms, and contact our Food & Beverage Director for assistance submitting the necessary applications.
