The Hawai‘i Convention Center, managed by ASM Global, is pleased to announce that it has recently been recognized with state and national meetings honors:
- EXHIBITOR magazine named the Center among its 2025 Centers of Excellence winners, featured in its October/November issue. The award honors 25 of North America’s top venues for trade shows and events based on a variety of criteria within select categories, including Facility & Functionality, Location & Accommodations, Service & Execution, Upgrades & Expansions, and Sustainability. The evaluation process includes a survey of event planners, show organizers, and exhibit managers who have recently hosted (or exhibited at) events within each facility, as well as a review of entrants’ event spaces, selling points, and innovations, conducted by a panel of corporate exhibit managers.
- Facilities & Destinations magazine recognized the Center as one of its 2024 Prime Site Award of Excellence winners, as selected by the magazine’s readers. For more than 30 years, Facilities Media Group has served as a leading news source and marketing partner for professional planners of conventions, tradeshows, meetings, entertainment, and special events, and for the cities and venues in which they take place.
- The Hawai‘i Green Business Program (HGBP) recently recognized the Center for its energy efficiency and sustainable business practices. Forty awardees were honored in this year’s program, which is a partnership between the Hawai‘i State Energy Office, the State’s Department of Health, and the Board of Water Supply. The Center also earned LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) EBOM v4.1 O + M Gold Recertification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
“We are honored to be named among the best convention centers and events venues in the world. These awards speak to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, as well as our commitment to world-class service and environmentally sustainable operations,” said Teri Orton, General Manager of the Hawai‘i Convention Center.
