Getting Around Oʻahu
O'ahu offers conference and event attendees flexible, cost-effective ways to navigate between venues, accommodations, and attractions. From walkable distances between major venues to integrated public transit and specialty services, getting around is convenient and safe.
Walkable Meeting Destination
The Hawai'i Convention Center is easily accessible from Waikīkī and Ala Moana area hotels, with walking times ranging from 10 to 30 minutes. Year-round comfortable temperatures and abundant sunshine make the safe walk pleasant in any season, letting attendees enjoy iconic views along the way. From the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, the walk is approximately 20 minutes, while properties near Ala Moana Center are just a 10-minute stroll to the Center.
TheBus
O'ahu's public bus system offers island-wide service. Purchase a HOLO Card at participating stores for convenient, economical travel with automatic fare capping. Plan your route using:

TheHandi-Van
Visitors to O‘ahu who cannot ride TheBus are eligible for TheHandi-Van paratransit service for a period up to 21 days per year. To register for visitor eligibility during your stay or further information, please call TheHandi-Van Eligibility Center at 808-538-0033 (M-F, 8am-4pm HST).

Skyline (Rail)
Our newest transit option connects key areas above ground-level traffic. Use your HOLO Card for seamless transfers between Skyline and TheBus at standard fare rates.
- Current Operations: East Kapolei to Aloha Stadium.
- Airport Extension 2025: Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to the Kalihi Transit Center is scheduled to open in late 2025 and will include Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
- City Center 2031: Kalihi Transit Center to Kaʻākaukukui Civic Center is scheduled to open in 2031.
