The Hawai‘i Convention Center is lighting its exterior teal on Sept. 1, 2024, to help raise awareness of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) during PCOS Awareness Month in September, joining hundreds of landmarks worldwide.
September 1 is recognized as “World PCOS Day of Unity” by the nonprofit National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association, a nonprofit support and advocacy organization for people impacted by PCOS. PCOS is a serious genetic, hormone, metabolic and reproductive disorder that affects up to 20 percent of women globally.
