VerifiedDale-iciousSeptember 18, 2023A stunning beautifully designed garden... We visited Hawai‘i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden during a visit to Hawaii as part of a 16-night Hawaiian cruise. It quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. A stunning beautifully designed garden and bio-reserve with unique and rare flora and many places to sit and enjoy the views of the sea or the grounds. This would be a great place for families too, as there's a lot of opportunities for children to learn and enjoy from the interesting informative signage dotted throughout the property. It's worth noting that there is a steep path leading to and from the property due to the nature of the land. ⚒️ The Ki’i of Kū was made by local artist William (Rocky) Vargas from an 80 year old Monkeypod Tree that grew in the Garden.
🪴 It is surrounded by many different species of Cordyline (ti plants), Colocasia esculenta (taro), and other cultural plants such as, Nephrolepis cordifolia (kupukupu) and Hibiscus brackenridgei (maʻo hau hele).
